SoundStation2 is part of a new family of tabletop conference phones that was introduced with the announcement of SoundStation2W™. SoundStation2 replaces the award-winning
SoundStation® and is ideally suited for medium to small conference rooms and offices. There are three SoundStation2 models:

The SoundStation2 is Polycom's next generation conference phone and delivers remarkable voice quality equal to that of the SoundStation Premier®. SoundStation2 also provides a 50% increase in microphone pick up over the original SoundStation and adds great new features. A backlit LCD provides important call information and supports worldwide Caller ID. In addition, an Applications Port lets users connect to other communication devices, such as mobile phones
and computers.**

Building upon the great sound quality of the Polycom product line, this new phone has voice quality superior to the award winning SoundStation.

** Connecting the SoundStation2 to a mobile phone is similar to connecting a headset to a mobile phone. Not all mobile phone models recognize the SoundStation2 as a headset. For a list of mobile pones that are know to work with SoundStation2, please consult www.polycom.com.

SoundStation2 users can start and manage calls on a cell phone and take advantage of the benefits of Polycom conference phone hands-free communication.

This mode gives users the option to dial directly through a cell phone or instantly transfer between handset and conference phone mode during a conversation. Because the call is dialed through the cellular network, there is no need for an analog phone line - providing true portability and wireless freedom!

Cell phones easily connect to the SoundStation2 through the headset jack by plugging the provided cable with standard 2.5mm cell phone interface into the conference phone. This capability is ideal for ad hoc meetings where conversations frequently evolve from two individuals speaking to multiple participants at each location. Further, in facilities with no phone lines, users can now setup an instant conferencing environment using the mobile phone network and Polycom's outstanding conference phone acoustics.

The SoundStation2 display provides signal status icons, caller ID, and the capability to program a unique speed dial for a conference service number, among other familiar conference phone capabilities.

The intuitive interface includes soft keys and a full range of dialing features, easy to use caller ID, phone book, conferencing, mute, and hold.
